West Winds in Concert with the Baden-Wurttemberg Youth Wind Ensemble - Germany

WW was very honored to host the Baden-Wurttemberg Youth Wind Ensemble during their stay in Singapore. This was the second time WW is working with Mr. Felix Hauswirth, the conductor of the Baden-Wurttemburg Youth Wind Ensemble, together we put up a combined concert and it was a very memorable experience playing together with them.

Bands Galore

This a combined concert organised by the P.A.'s cultural development section showcasing all the 6 community bands in Singapore. The aim of this concert is to further promote community bands at community centres & clubs, and to provide an opportunity for conductors & musicians of the participating bands to interact and share their experiences.

Other Performances

In 1996, WW was awarded a Gold medal when it participated at the Singapore International Youth Music Festival. The band competed against several other foreign entries from Malaysia, Taiwan as well as Hong Kong and received many favourable comments from the panel of world renowned judges.

Our first overseas performance

WW had its first overseas performance tour to Adelaide in October 1997, participating in the city's annual Credit Union Christmas Pageant, which was televised live over Southern Australia.

During the trip the band had the opportunity to meet up with the South Australia Police Band and the Tununda Brass Band.
